Football (Defensive)/Track & Field (Multi-Events) / College Sports
Gettysburg College is seeking an intern for the sports of football (defensive position) and men's and women's indoor/outdoor track & field: Responsibilities include practice planning and coaching (offense in football and multi events in track & field), strength and conditioning, and recruiting. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Director of Athletics as required.
Bachelor's degree required. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in the environment of an academically demanding liberal arts institution with NCAA Division III athletic philosophies and policies, have outstanding interpersonal skills and organizational skills. Additional preferred qualifications include coaching and/or playing/participation experience as a student-athlete in football and/or track and field, ability to successfully recruit student-athletes and breakdown of video for analysis. Gettysburg College seeks candidates who have the communication skills and cross-cultural abilities to maximize their effectiveness with diverse groups of students, colleagues and community members.
The starting date is negotiable and the position will continue through May 2020. This position is paid on an hourly basis and the individual is eligible to participate in the College's fringe benefits program including: medical, dental, prescription, and vision insurance. A meal plan is also provided.
